The skies were heavy the day Steph and Mike got married. Gray and looming, they threatened to derail our plans of a first look at Succop Conservancy before the ceremony in Cranberry. But Steph? She barely noticed. The greatest joy for me as a photographer is to connect with someone else’s happiness, and Steph and her groom Mike made it effortless. Gray clouds? Psh. Misty rain? Not a problem. Torrential downpour? Bring it on!
And I’m pretty sure it was that attitude that actually brought the sun out during their emotional first look under the willow tree. A few well-timed showers arrived during the ceremony inside the church, and then retreated for us to do formals with the entire bridal party back at Succop. The rest of the night was gorgeous and perfect because it was Steph & Mike’s day and it simply was perfect. This was the day they said “I do,” the day they had been waiting so many years for. What a joy for me to be a part of it.
